Interventional Psychiatry

Interventional psychiatry is an emerging field which uses procedural approaches to treating mental health conditions. Some of these treatments are reserved for conditions which are resistant to current pharmacological (drug) treatments. While I do not currently practice any forms of interventional psychiatry, I am happy to refer my patients and work collaboratively with providers who practice ketamine therapy, trans magnetic stimulation (TMS), electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and other interventional techniques. As an academic physician, I continually review the medical literature for evidence to support novel approaches to psychiatric care.

Psychotherapy

I practice predominantly brief, focused psychotherapy using elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive therapy. For more long-term psychotherapy, couples therapy or psychodynamic approaches, I have a list of trusted individuals I refer my patients to and work closely with.

Let’s get started.
